Billing
Q. Who does iLogic Hosting use for a credit card payment processor?
A. We use PaySystems for all of our recurring billing plans.
Q. How often will I be billed?
A. The billing cycle is every 30 days.
Cancellation
Q. How do I cancel my hosting plan, and terminate recurring billing?
A. There is an area in your control panel to submit your request for cancellation. iLogic Hosting will need the last 4 digits of the credit card number used when signing up in order to verify your cancellation.
CGI-BIN - Perl Scripting
Q. Do you offer a personal CGI-BIN to run perl scripts?
A. Yes, of course.
Q. Can I run any type of perl script?
A. As long as your script is not overloading the server resources, and reducing the service to our other hosting clients, you may run the perl scripts of your choice.
Custom Error Pages
Q. What type of custom error pages do I have control over?
A. You can update the 401, 403, 404, and 500 error pages located in your "error" directory.
Domain Registration
Q. I ordered a domain name through iLogic Hosting. How long does it take to be registered, and point to my website?
A. Please allow 24 to 72 hours for your domain name to be associated with your site.
Q. I have registered my domain name elsewhere or have an existing domain name, where do I need to point the nameservers?
A. Please direct the nameservers to: ns1.ilogicsol.com & ns2.ilogicsol.com
Email
Q. What are my pop3 and smtp settings?
A. These will be in the format of mail.yourdomain.com for both pop3 and smtp.
Q. Why can't I send out email?
A. To help prevent the relaying of spam, we have authentication setup on our servers. In your email program for your email account, please enable the option "my outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication", and choose to use the same settings as your incoming mail server.
FTP
Q. I can connect to FTP, but cannot upload anything, what is wrong?
A. You have reached your disk space limit. If you find this to be an error, please create a support ticket.
Q. Where do I place all my website files?
A. Please place files you wish visible on the internet within your public_html directory. If you do not want to give public access to selected files, please place those in the directory above public_html.
Log Files
Q. How do I access my raw log files?
A. Please ftp into your account, and browse to your logs directory. You will be able to download the compressed logs file from there.
Q. How often are log files rotated?
A. Every month.
Q. How many months to you keep on the server?
A. We keep a full year's worth of compressed log files.
